The 100 Black Men of Chattanooga's health and wellness goals are to raise awareness, provide access to health care and health information that will ultimately promote behavior change resulting in a healthier lifestyle.

Through our civic and corporate partnerships, the 100 delivers health education programs and free health screenings to at risk segments of the community; especially prostate screenings, cancer awareness and general health fairs annually.

The purpose of the screenings and health fair is to promote preventative health awareness and education to the citiziens in our region.
The 100 Black Men of Chattanooga held its 19th Annual Men’s Health Screenings on May 13th at Boynton Terrace, 14th at Southside Health Center and 15th at Dodson Avenue Health Center. The event focused on prostate screening and education for men 40+ years young.

We screened 139 men for prostate cancer, blood pressure check, body mass index check. 65 were tested for  HIV. Educational presentations were made with the emphasis on the importance on preventative health and wellness.

All the screenings were  free with services
provided by Memorial and Erlanger Health Systems,Chattanooga Cares, clinics, physicians and other health care providers donating their time and services for free.
